DRC A route between Goma and Gisenyi envisaged to fight cross-border crime

The Congolese and Rwandan authorities are planning to erect a road between the cities of Goma (DRC) and Gisenyi (Rwanda) in order to combat cross-border crime. This route, which could be traced in the so-called neutral zone between the two countries, would facilitate the control of migratory movements. The governors of the western province for Rwanda, Alphonse Munyentwari and that of North Kivu for the DRC, Carly Nzanzu Kasivita, visited on January 21, 2020 the erection area of the said road.
