P1 Ventures secures $50M to boost African startups

P1 Ventures, a pan-African VC firm, closes its first institutional fund at $50M, backed by African conglomerates and the World Bank’s IFC. Focused on AI and fintech startups, it co-invested with Accel in Nuitee’s $48M Series A and funded Yassir and Chari. Its portfolio has created 6,000 jobs and attracted 35x follow-on capital per dollar invested.
