On January 7, United Bank for Africa successfully completed a rights issue, raising 157.8 billion naira ($99 million). The deal, supported by strong shareholder participation, involved 3.16 billion ordinary shares priced at 50 naira each (about $0.03). Proceeds strengthen the bank’s capital base and support expansion across its core African markets.
