Nigeria : the country officially hosts IATF 2027 to boost intra-African trade

Nigeria reinforces its strategic role in African trade by officially hosting the 5th Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2027) on March 9, 2026, in Lagos. The signing ceremony involved the Federal Government, Afreximbank, the African Union Commission, and the AfCFTA Secretariat. The initiative aims to promote intra-African trade, support SMEs, and accelerate the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area, positioning Nigeria as a regional commercial hub.
