Nigeria : signs CEPA with UAE to boost trade and investment
On January 16, 2026, Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) in Abu Dhabi to grant duty-free access for over 7,000 Nigerian products to the UAE market and attract strategic investments. The agreement also covers 99 services across 10 key sectors and allows Nigerian companies and executives to establish branches in the UAE. The CEPA aims to accelerate industrialization, create jobs, and strengthen investor confidence.
