Nigeria : Over two million jobs to be created through social housing programme

The Federal Government of Nigeria plans to create over two million jobs through its Renewed Hope Social Housing Programme, according to Housing Minister Ahmed Dangiwa. Speaking at the National Assembly on July 28, 2025, Dangiwa said the initiative will deliver 100 housing units in each of Nigeria’s 774 local government areas, benefiting low income groups, the unemployed, and displaced persons. The programme, funded through the Renewed Hope Infrastructure Development Fund, aims to address the housing deficit while spurring job creation and economic growth.
