Nigeria : NASENI & AUST sign innovation and research commercialisation MoU

On January 26, 2026, the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) and the African University of Science and Technology (AUST), Abuja, signed a memorandum of understanding to boost innovation, technology development and research commercialization. NASENI Executive Vice Chairman Khalil Suleiman Halilu emphasized shifting academic work toward real-world solutions by partnering with universities to bridge the gap between academia and industry. AUST President Prof. Peter Azikiwe Onwualu highlighted past collaborations and the need to expand cooperation, supporting scientific entrepreneurship and economic transformation.
