Nigeria : launch of a strategy to become a leader in the $7 trillion Halal economy

The Nigerian government has announced a comprehensive strategy aimed at positioning the country as a major player in the Halal economy, valued at $7 trillion. The plan, revealed by Aliyu Sheriff, Special Assistant to the Vice President, aims to boost GDP to $1.5 billion by 2027. This initiative will bring together government agencies and private partners to leverage Nigeria’s position as the eighth-largest Halal economy in the world. Sheriff emphasized that this will diversify the economy and generate foreign exchange while adhering to ethical standards.
