Nigeria: Access Bank to conquer North Africa
To take advantage of the ZLECAf, Access Bank, a multinational banking company, already present in 12 countries, intends to deploy in 8 new African states including Morocco, Egypt and Algeria. Like the establishment of Moroccan banks, BOA (Ex-BMCE Bank), Attijariwafa bank, or the Banque Populaire group, in some twenty African countries, the group led by Herbert Wigme is considering an expansion to take advantage of the single market that is being established. In addition to these 3 countries, Angola, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Namibia and Senegal are targeted.
