Nigeria: $3 billion to reach « zero emission » target by 2060

The Federal Government of Nigeria launched the country’s Energy Transition Plan on August 30. Support of $1.5 billion was announced by the World Bank, and Nigeria hopes to secure another $1.5 billion in funding from a U.S.-based institution.

Nigeria’s energy transition plan will achieve universal energy access by 2030 and a carbon neutral energy system by 2060, while accelerating economic growth and development.
