During a visit to Niamey from June 23–26, the Islamic Development Bank reaffirmed its commitment to Niger’s development. Regional Director Hammad Zafar Hundal, received by Prime Minister Mahaman Lamine Zeine, confirmed $95M in new funding for the Kandadji dam—part of a portfolio exceeding $1B. A mid-term review of the 2023–2026 partnership strategy is expected by end-2025.
