Niger: 317 million euros from the World Bank for electrification

The World Bank has just financed an electricity access project in Niger for 317.6 million euros. The announcement was made on September 13 by Niger’s Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Ibrahim Yacoubou. This project aims to accelerate access to electricity for households, health and education institutions and businesses. This energy will serve about 2.5 million people and 4 thousand socio-economic infrastructures.
