Namibia : World Bank grants $138.5M loan for electricity

The World Bank has approved a $138.5 million loan to NamPower for upgrading the electrical grid. The project includes a new 400 kV transmission line and an energy storage system. This will prepare Namibia to integrate more renewable energies and reduce its dependence on electricity imports.
