Namibia : NamPower breaks ground on 100 MW solar project to diversify energy 

NamPower has started construction of the 100 MW Sores Gaib Solar Power Station near Rosh Pinah, with commercial operations expected in June 2026. The $88 million project, partly funded by Germany’s KfW bank, aims to reduce fossil fuel dependence and energy imports. Over 300 local jobs will be created, with 25% of contract value dedicated to local content.
