Namibia : GDP records a N$5.3 billion increase in the first quarter

The Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA) has recorded an economic expansion of N$5.3 billion during the first quarter of this year’s gross domestic product.

This growth is primarily driven by the primary industries, notably the mining sector. The tertiary industries also showed significant improvement, while the secondary industries experienced more moderate growth. Exports of goods and services fell by 17.3%, but imports increased by 4.1%. Despite an overall slowdown, all sectors demonstrated positive growth in real value.
