Namibia: First liquid mud plant to support oil exploration

Namibia has inaugurated its first liquid mud and cement bulk facility in Walvis Bay, thanks to an investment by Baker Hughes. This strategic site aims to locally produce drilling fluids for offshore operations, reducing reliance on imports and logistical costs. The initiative strengthens Namibia’s position as an emerging energy hub in Africa.
