Namibia : €75M loan from KfW to boost national water resilience and access

On May 23, 2025, Namibia signed a €75M ($81M) concessional loan agreement with Germany’s KfW and NamWater to fund Phase II of the Water Sector Support Programme (WSSP II). The flagship Omundaungilo–Omutsegwonime pipeline will bring clean water to 27,000+ residents in the north. The project aims to expand safe water access and climate resilience through key infrastructure upgrades.
