Namibia : 3.1% growth forecast for 2026, deficit narrows to 5.5% of GDP

Finance Minister Ericah Shafudah projected 3.1% economic growth in 2026, after revising 2025 growth down to 2.9% from 3.3%. The fiscal deficit is expected to narrow to 5.5% of GDP in 2026/27 from 6.6% in 2025/26. Total revenue is estimated at 89.8 billion NAD (about $5.65 billion). Public debt stood at 174.5 billion NAD (about $10.97 billion), or 65.2% of GDP, as of January 2026.
