Mozambique : confirmed contract for Technip Energies on Coral Norte FLNG

On February 24, 2026, Technip Energies, together with JGC Corporation and Samsung Heavy Industries, was awarded a “significant” contract by Mozambique Rovuma Venture (MRV) — a joint venture including Eni — to advance the Coral Norte Floating LNG (FLNG) project, Mozambique’s second floating liquefied natural gas facility. The project builds on the proven Coral Sul design to reduce execution risk, improve efficiency and optimize performance.
The hull was launched on January 16, 2026 in Geoje, South Korea, with first production scheduled by 2028. Coral Norte will have a capacity of 3.6 million tonnes per annum (MTPA), bringing Mozambique’s total LNG output to ~7 MTPA, strengthening its position among Africa’s top LNG producers.
