President Daniel Chapo announced in New York that the $7.2 bn Coral Norte gas project, led by Italy’s Eni in Rovuma’s Area 4, will start in October. The country’s second floating LNG unit will produce 3.55 mtpa from 2028, building on the success of Coral Sul, which began exports in 2022.
