Move Afrika 2025 promises to be spectacular, with multi-platinum artist John Legend headlining!
« I’m honored and thrilled to perform in Kigali and Lagos as part of the Move Afrika tour. This initiative is not just about unforgettable shows—it also creates entrepreneurial and employment opportunities for young people, engaging them in Africa’s growing music and creative industries, » said John Legend.
We aim to inspire African youth to engage in the live entertainment industry while investing in the necessary infrastructure to ensure the continent becomes part of the global touring circuit
« We’re thrilled to have John Legend, our longtime Global Citizen Ambassador, headlining Move Afrika. As we expand the tour from Rwanda to Nigeria, we aim to inspire African youth to engage in the live entertainment industry while investing in the necessary infrastructure to ensure the continent becomes part of the global touring circuit, » added Hugh Evans, Co-Founder and CEO of Global Citizen.
Behind this initiative stands Global Citizen, an organization dedicated to fighting poverty and injustice worldwide. Move Afrika is one of its flagship projects, designed to mobilize young African talents and build a sustainable ecosystem around music, entertainment, and innovation.
Move Afrika is much more than a concert series. This initiative seeks to boost the local economy by engaging local artists, vendors, and crews, thereby creating opportunities for job training and skill development. The goal is clear: to mobilize leaders, businesses, philanthropists, artists, and citizens to take collective action toward a brighter future.
