The Moroccan horticultural industry raked in $990 million in record revenues thanks to its tomato shipments in 2022/2023. This is exactly 716,700 tonnes of the vegetable between July 2022 and June 2023 compared to a stock of around 680,000 tonnes during the previous campaign. France, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands account for 81% of shipments. Since 2022, Morocco has been the third largest exporter of tomatoes in the world behind Mexico and the Netherlands.
