Morocco : €815 million to boost gas network and Europe links
Morocco is investing €815M to expand its gas infrastructure, linking Nador West Med to the Maghreb-Europe (GME) pipeline and connecting Mohammedia and Kénitra, Energy Minister Leila Benali announced on July 1, 2025. The plan includes €213M for Nador and €602M for extensions. Goals include boosting LNG supply, adding 15 GW to the national grid (85% renewable), and exporting half of its LNG production.
