Morocco : chinese group Citic Dicastal inaugurates 3rd industrial unit

The Citic Dicastal Group, a world leader in aluminum casting and the production of aluminum automotive parts, inaugurated its third plant in Morocco, and the first under the name « DMC-Dika Morocco Castings ».

The event coincides with the celebration of five years of Citic Dicastal Group presence in Morocco, ten years since the launch of China’s « Belt and Road » initiative, of which the Dicastal Morocco project is a part, and 65 years of SinoMoroccan diplomatic relations.

This plant represents the Group’s third industrial unit, following the first two inaugurated in 2019 and 2020 and designed to manufacture aluminum wheels. These units, which are currently operating at full capacity, can produce 6 million wheels a year and employ 1,400 people, for a total investment of 350 MDH.

Involving an investment of around 180 million euros, this 20,000m² plant was built on a 40,000m² site, with an annual production capacity of 5 million parts, 90% of which are destined for export, mainly to Europe and the United States, ultimately creating 1,000 new direct jobs.
