Morocco-Burkina Faso : 12 agreements to strengthen South-South cooperation

On December 10, 2025, in Ouagadougou, Morocco and Burkina Faso signed 12 strategic agreements in agriculture, energy, health, education, water, infrastructure, and security, reaffirming their goal to make their partnership a model of South-South cooperation in Africa. Trade between the two nations rose from $47M in 2016 to $80M in 2021. The agreements aim to translate into concrete projects with tangible regional impact.
