Morocco : AfDB launches PAFE‑Emplois to boost entrepreneurship and jobs

On 26 January 2026, the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) and the Kingdom of Morocco officially launched in Rabat the Entrepreneurship Support and Financing Programme for Job Creation (PAFE‑Emplois) to strengthen support systems for entrepreneurs, finance inclusive entrepreneurship, and foster sustainable jobs. The initiative is part of Morocco’s Employment Roadmap and National Financial Inclusion Strategy. It is backed by a €119 million (around $133 million) AfDB loan and a $2.5 million AFAWA/We‑Fi grant, with additional support from the Ministry of Investment, Tamwilcom, KfW and the Islamic Development Bank. Targeted subsidies will help women entrepreneurs finalize projects and mobilize funding, expanding impact across VSMEs and job creation. The programme engages Morocco’s national ecosystem to catalyze innovation, economic inclusion and local business growth.
