Mining : Botswana leads Africa in Fraser Institute 2025 global ranking 

The Annual Survey of Mining Companies 2025, released on February 26, 2026 by the Fraser Institute, evaluates 68 mining jurisdictions worldwide based on responses from 256 industry participants. Botswana ranks as the most attractive African jurisdiction for mining investment, while Morocco ranks second in Africa and 15th globally with a score of 78.97/100. The index measures investment attractiveness by combining mineral potential with government policy perception. The survey was conducted between August 5 and November 26, 2025, according to the institute.
