Mauritania : $2 billion pledged for major infrastructure projects by 2030

On June 16, 2025, in Vienna, members of the Arab Coordination Group pledged $2 billion to support Mauritania’s development agenda. Announced during a high-level roundtable at the OPEC Fund (OFID) headquarters, this financing will fund key structural projects from 2026 to 2030. Sectors targeted include energy, water, sanitation, agriculture, transport, ports, and regional development, particularly around Nouakchott.
