On June 24, 2025, Shelter Afrique Development Bank granted a $15M loan to the Mauritanian Investment Bank to finance middle-income housing. The funds will support 1,000 housing units in Zouerate and the development of 1,000 plots in Tevragh-Zeina, aiming to house 2,000 families and create 5,000 jobs across targeted urban zones.
