Mali Official Launch of the Niger River Basin Climate Change Development and Adaptation Program
The African Development Bank, the Government of Mali and Niger River Basin Authority (NBA) launched on February the 4th in Bamako the Integrated Program for Development and Adaptation to Climate Change in the Niger River Basin (IPCCB/NB).
With a total cost of about CFAF 122 billion, including CFAF 13.8 billion for Mali, the IPCCCC/NB will contribute in improving the resilience of the Niger River ecosystems and populations through sustainable management of natural resources for the benefit of 130 million people in nine countries, according to information relayed by Financial Afrik.
