Mali : $40 million investment to modernize telecom energy infrastructure

On April 25, 2025, a $40 million investment was announced to modernize the energy infrastructure of telecom towers in Mali. Supported by Norfund and Cygnum Capital, the project aims to install hybrid renewable energy systems, including solar panels and storage batteries, across 2,876 telecom towers. This initiative will reduce reliance on diesel and the carbon footprint, while improving energy efficiency and connectivity, especially in rural areas.
