Libya and Nigeria are preparing a memorandum of understanding to study the technical and economic feasibility of a gas pipeline transporting Nigerian gas to Europe via Libya. This announcement was made by the Libyan Ministry of Oil and Gas after a meeting between Libyan Minister Khalifa Abdel Sadeg and Nigerian Minister Ekperikpe Ekpo during GASTECH 2024 in Houston. This project could generate significant economic benefits for Libya. However, the preliminary study on this pipeline will depend on the political stability in Libya.
