The African Development Bank (AfDB) has announced a $331 million investment to boost Lesotho’s economic growth between 2025 and 2030. During his visit, President Akinwumi Adesina outlined projects in infrastructure, energy, debt management, and digital transformation. A key project includes a $2.3 billion water transfer project between Lesotho, Botswana, and South Africa. Lesotho will also produce 22 megawatts of hydropower and supply 308 million cubic meters of water annually.
