Kwibuka 30 : Honoring memory and promoting inclusion

April 7, 2024, marks the start of Kwibuka 30, commemorating the genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda in 1994. Ceremonies will take place at the Kigali Genocide Memorial, with wreaths laid at mass grave sites. In and around Kigali, various activities will honor victims and encourage social inclusion. Rwandan communities worldwide, including the Federation of Rwandan Communities in Australia, will share stories of resilience and healing to raise awareness of the genocide’s impact and promote rebuilding.
