Kenya : trade with Hunan jumps 79% to $57.6 million in Q1 2025

Trade between Kenya and China’s Hunan province reached 420 million yuan (about $57.6 million) in Q1 2025, up 79% year-on-year, according to Changsha customs. Exports of electromechanical products, labor-intensive goods, and lithium batteries led the surge. Kenya is now Hunan’s 6th African trade partner. On April 24, Nairobi hosted the Kenya promotion meeting for the 4th China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo.
