Kenya : regional AI and digital training hub launched for 300,000 civil servants by 2030

On May 21, 2025, Kenya unveiled a Regional Center of Excellence in AI and digital skills at the Kenya School of Government, Nairobi. Backed by UNDP and Microsoft, the initiative targets training 300,000 public officials by 2030 under the country’s Digital Master Plan (2022–2032), with an estimated $20M investment to improve service delivery.
