Kenya has launched a highway expansion in partnership with two Chinese state-owned firms, marking China’s return to major projects in the country. The financing uses a debt-equity model. Separately, the government secured a 185M-dollar concessional loan from China EximBank to deploy an intelligent transport system aimed at modernising traffic management.
