Kenya : Lenacapavir HIV prevention rollout begins March 2026

Kenya will begin administering lenacapavir, a twice-yearly injectable HIV prevention treatment, in March 2026. The Health Ministry confirmed receipt of 21,000 doses via Gilead Sciences and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, with 12,000 more due by April. Epidemiological data: UNAIDS. Rollout targets 15 priority counties.
