On September 16, 2025, KCB Group and Afreximbank signed a joint financing agreement for the Vipingo Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Kilifi County. Afreximbank and KCB will provide $500M and $300M respectively, supporting investors in manufacturing, agribusiness, logistics, and exports. The project aims to boost industrial growth and regional integration.
