Kenya : increase in mobile subscriptions and adoption of 4G/5G technologies 

According to the quarterly report published on January 24, by the Communication Authority of Kenya (CA), mobile subscriptions in Kenya increased by 1.6% to reach 70 million by September 2024. The mobile penetration rate reached 135.8%. The use of 4G and 5G technologies grew, with 53.7 million mobile data subscriptions, driven by strong demand for high-speed internet, particularly for streaming, online learning, and e-commerce.
