Kenya : Exports to the European Union reach record highs

Driven by flowers, coffee, and fruit, Kenya’s exports to the EU hit 156.9 billion shillings (USD 1.2 billion) in 2024, according to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS). The 4.5% year-on-year growth was fueled by strong sales to the Netherlands, the main gateway to Europe, followed by Germany, France, and Spain. The EU remains Kenya’s third-largest export market, after Africa and Asia.
