President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s participation in the G7 Summit in Bari resulted in a strategic partnership with Italy for a mega agro-food project in Timimoun. This project, from 2024 to 2028, aims to produce cereals and legumes, thereby enhancing national self-sufficiency.

« President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s participation in the G7 Summit in Bari, which addressed the effects of climate change and development in Africa, resulted in a strategic agreement with Italy for a mega agro-food project in Timimoun. This project, part of the +Fondation Mattei Afrique+, will run from 2024 to 2028 and focuses on producing cereals and legumes, » the statement read.

« This project also aims to strengthen the excellent historical bilateral relations between Algeria and Italy on all fronts and accelerate the national economic process towards achieving self-sufficiency, » the statement added.
