Infrastructure : AFC gets A/A-1 credit rating with positive outlook from S&P Global
Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), the pan-African infrastructure finance institution, has been assigned long-term “A” and short-term “A-1” issuer credit ratings with a positive outlook by S&P Global Ratings.
The rating reflects AFC’s strong institutional and financial profile, robust liquidity, and ability to mobilise private capital for complex, cross-border infrastructure and industrial projects. Since its inception, AFC has invested $18.5 billion across 36 African countries, including strategic projects like the Lobito Corridor.
This recognition bolsters AFC’s standing in global capital markets and supports continued access to diversified, long-term financing for Africa’s infrastructure growth.
