Guinea: Alpha Condé agrees to host the AFCON 2025 instead of the 2023 edition

CAF President Ahmad said that Guinean President Alpha Conde has agreed to allow his country to host the 2025 AFCON, rather than 2023.

In 2014, CAF awarded the next three AFCONs at once: 2019 in Cameroon, 2021 in Ivory Coast and 2023 in Guinea.

But after having withdrawn the organization of the 2019 edition in Cameroon, it decided to make a shift, attributing the 2021 edition to this country and the 2023 edition Ivoty Coast, which left in suspense the fate of Guinea.

Egypt and South Africa are the candidates for the organization of the 2019 edition planned in six months.
