On July 16, 2025, Guinea’s Transitional President, General Mamadi Doumbouya, enacted law L2025-016-CNT approving the concession agreement and power purchase contract for the 40 MW Khoumagueli photovoltaic solar power plant. As reported by InfracoAfrica, this first solar plant in Guinea will connect to the national grid, delivering clean energy and supporting the West African Power Pool project linking Guinea to neighboring countries.
