Green economy: Africa50 and BOAD to co-finance green infrastructure on the continent

The Africa50 fund and the West African Development Bank (BOAD) have signed a partnership agreement on the sidelines of the AfDB’s annual general meeting to develop and co-finance green infrastructure on the continent.
The agreement was announced on the sidelines of the African Development Bank Group’s annual meetings at the Egyptian resort of Sharm El-Sheik, under the theme « Mobilizing private sector financing for climate and green growth in Africa ».
The aim of this partnership is to help bridge the significant infrastructure financing gap on the continent, by providing fast and efficient investment to meet growing development needs.
