Ghana’s official gold reserves reached 38.04 tonnes as of October 31, 2025, up 35% from 28.1 tonnes a year earlier, according to the Bank of Ghana. The record increase reflects the success of the central bank’s domestic gold purchase program, aimed at strengthening national reserves and enhancing economic resilience against currency volatility.
