From January to mid-October 2025, Ghana’s artisanal gold sector recorded a historic $8 billion in revenue, nearly double the $4.61 billion achieved in 2024, according to the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod). This growth reflects strengthened regulations, improved traceability, anti-smuggling measures, and close collaboration with the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC).
