Gabon : more than half of driving schools operate informally

Of the 21 establishments inspected in 2018 during driving school inspections in Libreville and the surrounding area, the Centre national de l’examen du permis de conduire (CNEPC) reveals that « several do not have an operating licence and do not pay the annual 100,000 CFA fee to the Treasury ».
In administrative and technical terms, 13 of these 21 driving schools have only provisional authorisations, 4 have no documents and only 4 have an operating licence.
Of the 21 driving schools singled out, 10 have been ordered to remain open, 4 to close provisionally and 7 to close definitively.
