The 8th edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) will be held from 29 to 31 October 2024 in Riyadh, bringing together world leaders and entrepreneurs. This year, pre-summits were devoted to investment in Africa and women’s leadership, highlighting crucial issues for the continent. Among the African personalities present were Tony Elumelu, Adebayo Ogunlesi and Sim Tshabala, who shared their expertise on Africa’s potential. Discussions also focused on access to digital health, food security and access to electricity, all of which are essential for stimulating economic growth. The President of Senegal, H.E. Bassirou Diomaye Faye, stressed the importance of empowering young people, while speakers called for greater representation of women in key sectors. The IFI8 aims to catalyse significant investment, positioning Africa as a model of innovation and sustainable opportunity.
